The sun is shining, we've had our first snow and I've got a new puppy-update. :)
Our little monster. :D
I've reported it stolen to both the police and my insurance company. Hope it'll turn up. I really REALLY hope it will... TT__TT
Going home to celebrate Fredrik’s grandma’s 75th birthday, and visit my parents. It’s going to be great. Fredrik’s grandma is awesome (just so you know ;D). Aaaaaand… We’re going to meet our little baby boy for the first time. We’ve named him Idefix after the dog in The Adventures of Asterix comics (Dogmatix in English). I’m so excited!!! :D
Idefix (3½ weeks old) picking a fight with his brother, Kalle. xD
It was truly awesome. I bought a lot o tea, some cool shirts, a hat and some other random stuff. AND I got to spend an entire day at the Tower of London. It is one of my absolute favorite places in the whole world. The buildings are magnificent, the ravens are awesome and the beefeaters are hilarious If you ever go on a guided tour with one of them, make sure that you get the Yeomen Warder named David. He was the coolest ever!!
On a different note. My plans on joining everyone in an all creative November. Well... It just ain’t happening. I don't have any time to do anything creative and it sucks. School is taking up all my time and I even had to bring some books to London so that I could do some reading in the evenings. :(
Yes. I'm feeling VERY sorry for myself. xD
Maybe there'll be time for an all creative December or January instead.
P.s. Fortuna, I will work on your pic a.s.a.p. Bu right now it's schoolwork from 7am to 10 pm. Sorry. TT__TT
But they're still pretty darn cute.
Also we have decided on a name. But we're gonna keep it a secret for a little while longer. ;)
I has munny! <3
Ok not yet, but at least it's on its way.
CSN have finally decided to give me the money I've worked so hard to get. So no more worrying. Tires will be changed, bills will be paid and trips to London will be enjoyed.
I’m going too book my trip to Stockholm today. Hoping to get my money a.s.a.p.
Won't be getting any money for September or October though, so it's still going to be a tough month. But still... The YAYNESS!! 8D
Oh. And more random yayness. I got my Dissidia today. And it is AWESOME!!!
And as usual the latest update with the puppies:
Almost a week old. 3 boys and 1 girl. My parents are keeping the girl (the one snuggling Chips head) and we're getting the one that is on top of his brother (dark ears and dark dot on his butt) fighting for food.
We haven't decided on a name et but here are some that we're considering.
Feel free to provide us with more ideas. ^__^
- Dante
Kuja (Fredde wanted it to be called Cujo but I said no. I have enough things to worry about in my life.)- Cuzco
- Hector
HannibalMoggle (Yes I'm FF-nerd de-luxe)Jelling (Just because X3 )
Only 3 days old.
Marsipangrisar <3
xD
Update 16:14: The third puppy was born. A little baby who look just like its mother. It also seems to be strong and healthy.
19:05 fourth puppy alive and well.
19:50 Last puppy is born and it seems healthy as well. :D
Not sure how many of them are girls and how many of them are boys. My parents are so excited that the keep changing their mind every time they call me.
And the first puppy was stillborn. I'm just hoping that the other ones will be ok.
Forget lemon,! Cucumber is history!
Vanilla is in tha HOUSE!!!

So... My daily updates just haven’t happened. I’ve tried to update my Swedish blog everyday though (http://rafnir.blogspot.com)
I’m not quite managing to keep up to date there either. But here’s what has happened in my life between 2009-09-03 and 2009-09-12 (Cause that’s how far I’ve written on my Swedish blog)
I’ve decided to skip my attempts to update my blog or LJ every day. It’s just too much effort and I really don’t have the time for it atm. Maybe later on when and if my life gets a little bit more interesting again. Maybe someday when I have the time to be creative again. Until then I’m gonna at least try and update once a week with the ‘highlights’, or if anything cool happens.
Most of my time between 2009-09-03 and 2009-09-12 has been along the same pattern. I have a shoddy night’s sleep, wake up early, eat breakfast, poke around on my farm in Farmville, study, eat, study, write on my blog, study, eat, angst, study, and then I go to sleep and have another night’s shoddy sleep. The circle of life and so on….
Other than that… I’ve managed to: squeeze in some fieldwork, cover a dog with moss, discuss bestiality, feel angst about my Bachelor’s paper, buy myself a personal organizer, bicker with teachers whose opinions I clearly do not share, talk to my mum on the phone, talk to my dad on the phone, meet an old friend from my hometown and grab a coffee, feel some amount of angst over art-thieves and other old enemies, feel some amount of angst over not being any better at drawing now than I was 8 years ago, have some tea with Silvy, have some tea with Isabelle, have some tea with Silvy and Isabelle, go look at some apartments, turn down apartments, see a really REAALLY bad movie (Megashark vs. giant octopus), bore myself through FF X-2, take a few walks, take a drive down to the school in the middle of the night to print a few papers, spend too much time on msn talking to nice people, come up with a new design for my blog, be awesome, try out a bed of nails, take a trip to the ER (not related to the bed of nails), start keeping a journal, get new specs for Fredrik (awesome), watch Kung fu Panda, eat peanut butter n’ jelly sandwiches, read some really boring books, let someone live, talk in my sleep, have a picnic in the sun, be ninjad by a horse, slack, stress out, make coconut and blackberry pancakes, drink too much coffee, buy history-books, spend some time thinking about a very dear friend who chose not to live (I miss you Markus), hate a song I used to love, google suitjamas, find a guy claiming Croaky’s Bobby as his own, send a letter to guy claiming Croaky’s Bobby as his own, celebrate Isabelle’s birthday (CONGRATS!!!), eat some really great foods, have a nice time, get an answer from guy claiming Croaky’s Bobby as his own with 18 ‘sorry’ and ‘apologize’ (Bobby is now safe), send yet another mail to ‘guy claiming Croaky’s Bobby as his own’ stating that I’ll have my eyes on him, talk to Tessan, go to Fårö for a picnic, discover that my old Volvo actually is a Jeep in disguise, buy a new Beatles album, make someone really happy, and discover that Karma actually works.
Any questions??? O.=’
I was supposed to go down to the library yesterday to get some serious studying done, but I hardly slept the night before due to a horrendous urinary tract infection that I’ve managed to get somehow. Just the thing I needed when I’m already totally stressed out. Good thing I like cranberry juice.
I have sick amounts of things I have to finish in order to get everything sorted out with my grades. I have to finish at least three courses in order to get my CSN (student loan cash) and get my bachelors.
So I’ve done a list with everything that has to be done. I really should get myself a personal organizer, or something, so that I can schedule everything that I have to do and when I should do it.
I know that I said that I would keep boring posts about school to a minimum but… WtC. This is my ‘to do’ list:
1. Finish my home exam in GIS.2. Hand in my memo about the dig.3. Finish my home exam about feudalism.4. Finish my essay about women during the medievals.
5. Finish my essay about the reformation.
6. Finish my essay about the industrial revolution.
7. Write a paper about how different people interpret history.8. Write a paper about the use of history in popular culture.9. Write a paper about history in movies.
10. Write a short essay about a historical subject of my choice.
11. Do an extra assignment for an old summer course. (Just waiting for the teacher to send me the assignment).
12. Write a short essay about medieval buildings here on Gotland.
13. Finish my bachelor thesis in Archaeology.14. Write a synopsis for my master thesis in Archaeology.
15. Finish my paleontology exam.
16. Finish my geology exam.
17. Finish my exam about evolution.
18. Finish my 30 page essay about Brigida de Suecia.
19. Finish the home exam about WWI and WWII.
20. Finish 4 web design assignments.

So… I've just given birth to yet another meaningless blog. Rafnir
I allready have quite a few of them, and to be honest I'm not the most diligent (do I have the right word here?) of writers
It's not that I wouldn't like too and I guess that that's the meaning of the blog. I do have my LJ account and I do write here from time to time, but since my confidence when it comes to English grammar and spelling is close to zero, I really haven't got the courage to write the things that I really would like to write here.
I’m gonna use the new blog (I’m writing that one in Swedish btw) to try and write something every day about what is happening in my life and what I’m thinking about. Hopefully that ambition is going to last more than a week.
What I want is to write whatever in the new blog and then actually conjure up the courage to ”translate” it into my LJ so that I could have a more fequent update with fairly interesting posts here as well. Not only posts about angst and schoolwork.

Had a long talk with Silvy today. Made me think about a few things. There are still a few of us left... We who remember a time before "cult" and "ritual". We who remember a time when the passion for archaeology was all that was needed to be accepted. We who remember a time when HE ruled supreme over the kingdom of Jelling. Yes there are still a few of us left that fought with him upon Saint Crispin's day.”
The trip to Spain was awesome but unfortunately we had to abort after just 11 days of walking.
By then 2 of my toes was completely stripped down to lumps of bleeding flesh, the toenails on my big toes were blue (and are now getting looser by the day... Bye bye toenails), and I had at least 6 or 7 more blisters that were bleeding and needed to be taken care of.
So we decided (since vacations are supposed to be about fun and not about bleeding feet) to take a week of shopping and sightseeing in Madrid and walk the last 600 kilometers next summer instead.
But 350 km in 11 days isn't bad either so I'm feeling quite satisfied with our trip.
Later this week I'm thinking about taking a little walk out to Silvy and Chi. Just to say hi and have a cup of tea. ;)
(And see if I'm still able to walk 50 km in one day)
I'm gonna try and write from time to time...
